This room preserves records of African civilizations and empires—governance, knowledge systems, economies, and cultural continuity—documented through  historical record rather than inherited myth. 

An examination of how civilizations are defined, categorized, elevated, or diminished—revealing how power shapes which societies are remembered as “foundational” and which are treated as peripheral or lost.

A reflection on how civilizations that produce exceptional cultural, intellectual, or spiritual contributions often bear disproportionate costs for that excellence. 

 A reflection on how civilizations persist after power moves elsewhere, and what continuity looks like beyond dominance.
